A song about the deep sea. I wrote this recently about lots of things but the deep sea and how deep it can go without us realising.

You want to catch your breath
but your drowning so deep down underwater.
Falling into an abyss.
The sharks pushing you further away from the surface.

No way to get air.

The cracks in the walls surrounding you but you're still alive.

The pressure is building inside your lungs,
Your blood is growing colder and colder.
Your skin becoming purple.

But just before it's over someone dives in after you, and pulls you close to them.
Closer and closer you go to the light
You can never reach it

The air that fills your lungs is fresh
your skin changing, no longer blue
The arms around your body help you and hold you.

I can't be your saving light because I'm the one drowning too.
